Upon purchasing the Roam, you’re promised strong, durable speakers able to withstand wear and tear. This device truly delivers, as the Sonos Roam has an IP rating of IP67. If you’re not familiar, then know that this means your speakers are waterproof for up to 3ft (1m).

As such, you can confidently bring it in the shower or even by the poolside. It won’t get damaged if it’s within the device’s boundaries. However, after being soaked in water, drying out the Roam is a whole other issue.

Luckily, it’s quite easy to cater to the Roam’s aftercare when wet. You’ll only need a dry cloth or towel to remove the excess and dripping water from the device. Once done, leave the speakers to air-dry to evaporate extra water even in the nooks and crannies.

Note that using a hairdryer or blower is not ideal when drying the Sonos Roam. It’s best to stick with the instructions to avoid damage to your trusty, waterproof speakers.
